Hillary Machinery Inc Celebrates 25 Years in 2009

Hillary Machinery Inc was founded in 1984 by Patrick E. Hillary Jr. And David J. Weber as a tax free spin-off of Koch Machinery Company of Houston, then one of the largest fabricating equipment dealers in the State of Texas. Dave Weber, the company's current President, joined the organization in 1978 prior to the formation of Hillary Machinery Inc, to grow the machining equipment sales division in North Texas. Since then, Hillary Machinery Inc has diversified its product and service portfolio to include fabrication and machining equipment, retrofit and remanufacture, machine tool accessories, cutting tools metalworking fluids, field service, applications support, local warranty support, and local parts support.

In 25 years, Hillary Machinery Inc has become one of the largest machine tool dealer service organizations in the State of Texas growing its annual sales to over $40 Million and employing 25 sales, technical support, and administrative personnel throughout the state with offices in Dallas and Houston.

Hillary Machinery Inc boasts quite an impressive customer list that includes Nasa, Bell Helicopter, Texas Instruments, Flextronics, Raytheon, L3 Communications, Trane, Lockheed Martin, Vought Aircraft, Weber Aircraft, Cutler-Hammer, Crouse Hinds (Division of Cooper Industries), Letourneau, Alcoa/Howmet, Reynolds Aluminum, Pratt & Whitney, American Airlines, Baker Hughes, ITT Goulds Pump, Sanden International, Tyler Pipe, Baker Oil Tools, Red River Army Depot, Corpus Christi Army Depot, Dorian Tool, Siemens, Dresser, Mitsubishi, Tyco Valve, Schlumberger, Hydril, Varco, Smith International, Lufkin Industries, Cooper Cameron, FMC, Ameriforge, Trinity Industries, National Oil Well/Varco, Solar Turbine, Thrustmaster and hundreds of small, medium, and large job shops and contract manufacturers throughout the State of Texas. Troy Owen, Hillary's VP Sales & Marketing explains that "Hillary Machinery Inc is structured specifically to support job shops, contract manufacturers, and original equipment manufacturers of all sizes with the same level of commitment. This has been one of our greatest vehicles for growth over the past several years."

The company is a leading distributor for MAG Fadal, MAG Giddings & Lewis, MAG Cincinnati, Hyundai-Kia Machine America, Milltronics Manufacturing, and Quickmill, and they have been recognized as a top dealer for Siemens, Cincinnati Incorporated, and Timesavers Incorporated in the course of their growth.

The company is currently owned and operated by Dave Weber, Doug Weber, and Troy Owen. Dave Weber has been with Hillary Machinery Inc since its inception and now serves as the company's President. He was educated at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where he received his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. Dave Weber explains, "My philosophy is to provide a family atmosphere for our employees, sell our customers the best machine for their application, and then provide service and support that exceeds their expectations."

Doug Weber joined the organization in 1995 and was educated at the University of Texas at Arlington where he received his BBA in Business Management in 1992 and currently serves as the company's VP and General Manager. According to Doug, "Our people continuously demonstrate their dedication to Hillary Machinery through a willingness to serve the customer. If they can achieve this, they have lived up to our expectations." Doug further explains that "a solid reputation for technical service and support is just as important before the sale as it is after the sale. When you give a customer or potential customer your word that you will service their equipment, you're also giving them your word that you have the resources to keep that promise."

Troy Owen joined the company in 1997 and now serves as the company's VP Sales & Marketing. He received his BBA in Business Management from the University of North Texas in 1990. According to Troy, he has a simple goal for his sales people, "go out every day intent on discovering new business relationships and strengthen those you have already forged. Do that sincerely and people will always want to partner with you." Troy added, "I will always remember what our founder, Pat Hillary, told me one day." He said, "We would rather invest in people, not fancy showrooms, lavish offices, or extravagant vacations. The right people make it happen; they make everything happen." Troy adds, "When we hire the right people, compensate and reward them fairly and earn their trust, they will take care of our customers accordingly."

Hillary Machinery Inc's employees are largely responsibly for Hillary's success over the past 25 years.

Hillary Honors Pauletta Landers for 25 Years of Service

Pauletta Landers, Hillary Machinery Accounting Manager, was the first employee with Hillary Machinery Inc and celebrates her 25th anniversary on June 1st, one month prior to the formation of Hillary.
